Face Book, MP3 players, and cheese

So I was chatting with my friend Tyler on his birthday and he said I should sign up for Face Book (www.facebook.com) and I had recieved a few emails from it saying that people were wanting me to sign up for it, but I didn't know if it was for real or if it was something that had taken over people's address books and sent junk to everyone in their address book or what. So anyway, turns out it's ACTUALLY pretty cool! I don't get the whole jist of it yet, but I can upload this blog to it too, so that makes it even cooler! SO yeh, just thought I'd post and let you know you should all sign up and then add me as your friend :o) Dave seems to be quite addicted to it and has been on it every moment of his spare time (okay maybe that's an overdramatic statement, but it's funny since he never got into blogging or anything else.. he set up a myspace page but never used it.. and now he's on facebook all the time!)

Random question for everyone, do you have an ipod, a nano, or a shuffle, or any sort of MP3 player? and if you do, do you find you use it quite often? If you don't, would you want one? I got a small MP3 player that only holds a few songs from my dad and I went out and bought rechargable triple A batteries only to find that our charger is only good for double A, so I haven't been able to use it yet, but I like the idea of being able to carry my music around with me to go for walks and any exercise I do... anyway, just wondering others experiences with these devices.

At our last girl's night we discovered that our husbands seem to REALLY REALLY like to eat cheese. I just wanted to post some proof of this about my husband.

I've had a few people ask me to join Facebook too, but I really don't want to join a ton of different sites and have to remember to update everything and remember passwords and sign-in names for all of them either!! I dunno.
We have a CHEAP mp3 player from Duane's boss for Cmas, but it is moody and doesn't work all the time...and I don't really have a use for it 'cause I'm with people all day and I don't want to be hooked up to that while trying to have conversation!
My husband loves cheese too!!! Mine doesn't just chew straight from the block, but...
Glad to hear from you again!

Is that a hint Karyn??

Michael and I got an iPod Nano when we re-signed up with Telus for internet and I really like it. In the summer I download these workout mixes - you can get them for certain bpm's like 135 or 160 depending if you're running or walking - and I take my iPod walking on trails. I also like using it to listen to music around the house when I'm cleaning - it's easier than blasting the music and also works better when Aidan's sleeping :) I find that I use it a lot and then not too much and currently right now I need to find it so I can hook it up to some speakers at work.

Hah! Love the cheese pics of dave..too cute! I do not have an MP3 player or iPOD, not sure I would have any use for one..hmm..maybe. I dunno. And yes, facebook, I like it too! I have connected with several people from high school that I haven't talked to in like 6 years!! So neat! What?? Babies!? Who's having a baby?? Karyn!? Are you guys thinking about babies?!?! huh huh huh!?! I wanna be an honorary aunt! :) That goes for you too Carene!

OH MY! What is going on with this talk about babies?!? KARYN!?!? Are you pregnant?! *laughs* Well, you don't need my permission to start your family :o) I would be VERY happy for you. Just plan to have your third the same time as we have our first and everything will be a-okay ;o) But do let me know what's going on!

Yeh, I like the idea of having an MP3 player for walking and stuff.. especially in the summer when I will actually be more likely to do that! It makes a lot more sense for you Alanna since you don't want to have music blasting in the house... whereas for me that doesn't really matter right now :o) Hmmmm interesting! Thanks for your responses... I should just get a battery charger and see if I use this small one!

I would like to be an honourary Aunt too! You might have to wait awhile to be an honourary Aunt for our child, but don't worry, you will be :o) I think that'd be sooo cool!

Oh, and Dave doesn't normally do that to the cheese (just so you don't have to worry if you're ever eating cheese at our house). He said he felt like taking a big bite out of it so I said.. OKAY, wait until I get the camera! Ha ha

I'd just like to point out that I have never been part of this baby talk and this is the first I've heard about it...This whole baby thing is not going to work out properly unless there's two parties involved...

Oh gosh! I honestly need to think about the repercussions of what I say BEFORE I say them!
To clear things up: We are NOT pregnant!
I have been indulging in blogstalking lately and have been reading a LOT of blogs of people who are prego...Alanna is one of them!! And my friend Katie is prego too! I think I might be starting to feel the "pressure", if you can call it that. I just want a baby!
Hope that clears it all up for you!!
And yes...you can all be honorary Aunties...we'd be honored *wink*

Oh yeah, and the reason I was asking you, Carene, was because once-up-a-time you said that you told people that you weren't having kids until we had kids(I think to get them to stop asking when you were gonna have a baby). You told me that we had to wait AT LEAST two years. It hasn't been two years yet, and I want a baby! I think it'll continue on for probably another two years, so don't worry *wink*

Well thanks for clearing that up! It just kind of hit me the other day that at some point the baby has to come out. Sooooooo not looking forward to that. I mean, I knew that before, but...Maybe I just conveniently forgot. it's nice to be pregnant and it's nice to have a baby but it would be so so so awesome to just kind of fall asleep and then wake up and *bam* there's the baby! wouldn't that be cool?? Oh and definitely you should move before you have the baby!! Babies themselves might be small but they have a TON of crap that they need!

So we tried the Dragonfruit and it was seriously crap. So gross. But very kiwi-ish on the inside. It was like clear white stuff with little kiwi seeds throughout - and tasted gross. Apparently the fruits that are picked for commercial sale are picked when the outside looks cool but the inside isn't ripe and once it's picked it doesn't ripen anymore. It's too bad, I'd kind of like to try a ripe one but I don't know where I would get one!

Ok now!! 6 weeks, no blogging! I at least want a monthly update! :) If a busy nursing student like me can blog at least every couple weeks then I am sure you to can do so as well. I might need to educate you both on the fine art of procrastination...its really very simple...i'll tell you some other time though... :)
